Balance My Hormones vs Arc TRT: an honest UK TRT comparison

Balance My Hormones costs £149 a month all-inclusive or from £90 pay as you go, and is CQC-registered. How it compares with Arc TRT on care, HCG and price.

Balance My Hormones comes up a lot when men compare UK TRT clinics, and it's one of the few that, like us, does testosterone and not much else. Here's a straight comparison from a competitor, using only what Balance My Hormones publishes and what the CQC register says.

Before you read on: where I'm coming from

I've never worked at Balance My Hormones and I have no connection to it. I have worked at two of its competitors, as Medical Director at Optimale and Medical Lead for Testosterone at Manual, and I now run a third, so I'm not a neutral observer. Everything below about Balance My Hormones comes from its own website or the CQC register, checked in October 2026. Read its site too.

Balance My Hormones: the short answer

How much does Balance My Hormones cost? £35 for the first finger-prick test, from £99 for the CORE confirmatory panel, £119 for a doctor consultation (included in its test bundles), then £149 a month all-inclusive or £189 with HCG. A pay-as-you-go option runs £90 to £150 a month with bloods and consultations bought separately. Is Balance My Hormones legit? Yes. Balance My Hormones Ltd is CQC-registered in London. Its Clinical Lead Doctor is Dr Martyn Bradley, and the clinic was founded in 2016 by Mike Kocsis, a medical case manager.

Arc TRT is also a TRT-led clinic, so this is a closer comparison than our one with Voy. The differences are in who leads clinically, how monitoring is structured, what's bundled into the monthly fee and how personalised the protocol is.

Two TRT-only clinics: where the models differ

Most of the big names in UK TRT are now platforms. Balance My Hormones and Arc are both exceptions, and I respect that. Focus matters in this field.

Balance My Hormones is built around a case manager model. Its founder is a case manager rather than a doctor, every patient gets a personal case manager, and a team of GMC-registered doctors makes the clinical decisions. Its website lists injections, gels and creams, and oral tablets and capsules, with HCG as an add-on. The all-inclusive price it quotes applies to testosterone cypionate in 10ml multidose vials; it says other esters or ampoules may be priced differently.

Arc TRT is doctor-led from the top. I set the clinical direction, Dr Lauren Airey is Medical Director, and our treatment coordinators handle the logistics so that doctor time goes on medicine. We prescribe testosterone enanthate and cypionate where appropriate, HCG is built into plans rather than bolted on, and we shape the protocol around your bloods, your symptoms and, if you want it, your DNA. Weight loss and hair loss treatment sit inside the same care plan because they interact with testosterone.

Neither is wrong. If you value a named non-clinical contact who chases your bloods and deliveries, BMH's model is designed for exactly that. If you'd rather the people shaping the service were the doctors treating you, that's how we've built Arc.

Clinical leadership

Dr Martyn Bradley holds the position of Clinical Lead Doctor at Balance My Hormones. The site also lists Dr Johannes Brink (GMC 4160133) and Dr Dan (GMC 6150181), and its articles are medically reviewed by Dr George Touliatos. It doesn't name a medical director. Its founder, Mike Kocsis, is described as an entrepreneur and medical case manager.

At Arc, I (Dr Chris Airey, BMBS MMedSc Dip ENDO) lead clinically and Dr Lauren Airey is Medical Director. We both still work in NHS acute medicine. I've treated thousands of men with testosterone deficiency across three UK clinics and hold a postgraduate diploma in endocrinology.

Both clinics put GMC-registered doctors in charge of prescribing. The structural difference is that BMH was founded and is run by a case manager, with doctors in the clinical roles, whereas Arc was founded and is run by its doctors.

Balance My Hormones pricing vs Arc TRT pricing

Figures are from balancemyhormones.co.uk and arctrt.co.uk as published in October 2026. Both clinics publish their prices in full, which I wish were universal.

The monthly figures are close: £149 against £159 for testosterone alone, £189 against £195 with HCG. The bigger difference is in year one. BMH schedules three blood tests in the first twelve months; we schedule four, each with a clinician review. BMH's consultation is £119 but bundled into its test packages; ours is £99 on its own at the current offer price (usually £150). Add it up for your own situation rather than comparing headline numbers, and read how much TRT costs in the UK for what should be in the price.

How treatment is delivered

Both clinics follow the UK pathway set out in the BSSM guidelines: two confirmed blood tests, a doctor consultation, then treatment with scheduled follow-up bloods. Where we differ is in the structure around it.

Balance My Hormones requires two confirmed blood tests and a consultation with a specialist doctor before treatment starts, and your case manager runs the logistics from there. Medication is delivered to your door. Follow-up bloods are at 6 weeks, 6 months and 12 months, then yearly, with doctor reviews at 6 and 12 months, then yearly. Testing is compulsory, and its pricing page says treatment can be paused if tests are missed. For what it's worth, I agree with that policy.

Arc TRT works from a fuller first picture. Our enhanced panel covers hormones, thyroid, cortisol, pituitary markers and the baselines we'll monitor for years, and if it will help we add DNA testing to predict how you'll metabolise testosterone and convert it to oestrogen. The aim is to get the protocol right at the start rather than after six months of adjustments. Injection training and all supplies are included, and our treatment coordinators are your single point of contact. There's more on our approach on the personalised TRT page.

HCG and fertility

Both of us offer HCG alongside testosterone. At BMH it's an add-on: £189 a month all-inclusive instead of £149, or £25 to £50 extra on pay as you go. At Arc it's included in the Enhanced plan at £195, and the Comprehensive plan at £229 adds a higher dose and annual fertility monitoring.

If having children later matters to you, pick a clinic that raises it before you start, and ask what the monitoring looks like, not just the price.

Monitoring and ongoing care

This is the clearest structural difference between the two plans. BMH's all-inclusive schedule has a first check at 6 weeks, then nothing scheduled until 6 months. Ours has four blood tests and reviews in the first year, because the first months are when doses change, oestradiol and haematocrit move, and men have the most questions. After year one, both clinics settle to a steadier rhythm: yearly at BMH, twice a year at Arc, and unlimited on our Ultimate plan.

Neither schedule is unsafe; both are within normal UK practice. More checks cost more, and that's part of why our fee is higher. Ask either clinic how quickly you can reach a doctor between scheduled reviews, and who reads your bloods when they come back.

Balance My Hormones reviews vs Arc TRT reviews

BMH doesn't lean on Trustpilot. Its site points to Google, where it says it has a 4.9 rating and more Google reviews than any other TRT-dedicated clinic in the UK, plus Feefo and Doctify. On Trustpilot, when I checked on 18 October 2026, it had a score of 4.4 from 14 reviews. Arc had 4.8 from 45 Trustpilot reviews, and our patients also review us on Doctify, which verifies that each reviewer is a patient.

Clinics collect reviews in different places, so compare like with like, read beyond the first page, and give the most weight to men describing their second year of treatment.

Who Balance My Hormones is probably better for

  • Men who want a named case manager handling the admin side of treatment
  • Men who want a slightly lower all-inclusive monthly fee and are comfortable with fewer scheduled checks in year one
  • Men who want a pay-as-you-go option with medication from £90 a month
  • Men switching clinics who want to use BMH's free transfer review while the offer runs

Who Arc TRT is probably better for

  • Men who want a clinic founded and run by the doctors who treat them
  • Men who want four blood tests and reviews in the first year rather than three
  • Men who want HCG and fertility monitoring built into a plan rather than added on
  • Men who want weight loss or hair loss treatment managed by the same team as their TRT
  • Men interested in DNA-guided protocols

Balance My Hormones FAQs

How much does Balance My Hormones cost per month?

At the time of writing, £149 a month all-inclusive for testosterone, or £189 with HCG. Pay as you go is £90 to £150 a month for medication, delivery and case manager support, with HCG £25 to £50 extra and blood tests and consultations bought separately. Before treatment you pay £35 for the first test, from £99 for the CORE panel and £119 for a consultation, or buy a bundle from £199. Check its website for current prices.

Is Balance My Hormones legit?

Yes. Balance My Hormones Ltd is registered with the CQC at a London location. Its clinical lead, Dr Martyn Bradley, is GMC-registered, and it has operated since 2016.

Does Balance My Hormones offer HCG?

Yes, as an add-on to its testosterone plans. Arc includes HCG in its Enhanced and Comprehensive plans. Protocols differ, so ask whichever clinic you choose how they dose and monitor it.

Can I switch from Balance My Hormones to Arc TRT?

Yes. Our switch consultation is for men already on TRT elsewhere. Upload your recent bloods and current protocol, book a 60-minute video appointment with one of our doctors (a £75 deposit, credited to your first month), and if we're a good fit we carry on with what's working without a gap in treatment.

Summing up

Balance My Hormones is a legitimate, CQC-registered, TRT-focused clinic with transparent pricing and a case manager model that plenty of men will like. If you want a named contact handling the admin and a slightly lower monthly fee, it's a reasonable choice.

Arc was built by doctors to do TRT the way we'd want it done for ourselves: a fuller work-up at the start, more monitoring in the first year, HCG and fertility care built in, and the treatments that interact with testosterone managed by the same team. That costs a little more each month, and I think it's worth it, but I would say that.

Read both websites, read the reviews, add up the first-year cost for your own situation, and choose the clinic you'd be comfortable with for years of treatment.
