Voy testosterone vs Arc TRT: an honest UK TRT comparison

Men often ask me what I think of Voy before they sign up with us. It's a fair question, so here's a straight answer from a competitor, based only on what Voy publishes itself.

Voy testosterone: the short answer

How much is Voy TRT per month? Injectable plans start from £99/month, oral from £99/month and topical from £129/month, with monitoring bloods included. You pay £33.95 for the first home finger-prick blood test, and an enhanced confirmatory test on top. Is Voy TRT legit? Yes. It's CQC-regulated, led by Dr Jeff Foster, and has more than 12,000 men on TRT. It offers injectable, topical and oral testosterone, and can prescribe HCG.

Arc TRT is a smaller, doctor-led clinic. TRT is our core service, and we've built weight loss, hair loss and DNA testing around it. Below I've set out where the two of us actually differ, so you can work out which suits you. Do look at both websites yourself before you decide.

If you only read one section, make it this one.

Voy is a broad health platform, and it got bigger still after merging with Manual in 2025. TRT sits next to weight loss, menopause care, hair loss and dermatology, and each one runs as its own service. Scale has real advantages. Voy has slick technology and a large clinical team, and you can deal with several health problems in one place.

Arc TRT works the other way round. Testosterone therapy is what we do, and the extras we offer (weight loss medication, hair loss plans and DNA testing) are there to make TRT work better. We designed them to run alongside your testosterone treatment, managed together, rather than as separate products you happen to buy from the same company.

Why does that matter? Three examples from clinic:

• Weight and testosterone are biologically linked. Excess body fat increases aromatase activity, which converts testosterone to oestrogen, so losing weight can improve how well TRT works for you. When GLP-1s are prescribed alongside TRT, the same clinical team manages both, looking at the same blood markers and aiming for the same outcome.
• TRT can speed up hair loss in men who are genetically predisposed. With a hair loss plan in place from day one, we can manage that risk early instead of leaving you to find another provider once it starts.
• DNA testing can help predict how you'll respond to treatment. Some men metabolise testosterone faster than others, and some are more prone to converting it to oestrogen. Genetic testing for treatment response lets us tailor your protocol from the start, so we're not only adjusting after problems show up.

I don't think either model is better in absolute terms. If you want broad access across lots of health categories, the platform suits you. If you want your other treatment tied in with your hormone treatment, the TRT-led model makes more sense.

Clinical leadership

Dr Jeff Foster leads Voy's TRT service. He's an experienced UK doctor, a co-author of the 2023 BSSM guidelines on testosterone deficiency, and a well-known name in UK men's health. He's a credible clinical lead.

I lead Arc TRT (Dr Chris Airey), with Dr Lauren Airey as Medical Director. My work is TRT and men's hormonal health, and our clinical team spends its days on testosterone therapy and the conditions that come with it.

So you get credible doctors either way. What you're choosing between is a doctor running one service inside a large platform, or a clinic where TRT and the treatments around it are the whole focus.

Voy testosterone pricing

Here's what Voy publishes as of 2026:

• Initial blood test: £33.95

Those "from" prices are competitive for the UK. What you actually pay each month depends on which medication you end up on and whether you add anything else.

Our prices are on our pricing page. I haven't put them side by side with Voy's here because prices change and a blog post goes out of date quickly, so please compare the two directly.

If you're thinking of combining TRT with weight loss medication, hair loss treatment or genetic testing, add up the all-in cost with each provider rather than looking at the headline TRT price. Having it bundled can work out cheaper than buying each service separately.

Cheapest isn't usually best, and dearest isn't automatically better. Ask what's included, and what you'd end up paying for elsewhere.

How treatment is delivered

We both follow much the same UK clinical pathway, in line with BSSM guidelines:

• Initial blood test
• Doctor review
• Confirmatory blood test
• Clinical consultation
• Treatment begins
• Follow-up bloods at set intervals
• Ongoing monitoring

Where we differ is the detail.

Voy is online-first and tech-led, with a large team of clinicians. Most contact happens through its platform, and consultations are by phone or video. Being that size lets it scale quickly and keep its processes standardised.

Arc TRT is smaller and more personal. You're more likely to speak to the same clinician each time, and our treatment coordinators, Julia and Ursh, are your single point of contact from start to finish. If your plan includes weight loss or hair loss treatment, the same clinical team looks after it. It doesn't get passed to another department.

Adjunct treatments: how they fit in

We offer similar categories of treatment, but we approach them differently.

Weight loss

Both of us offer GLP-1 medications (Mounjaro, Wegovy) and other weight loss treatments. Voy's weight loss service is large, stands on its own and was running before its TRT offering. At Arc, weight loss is part of a TRT care plan, because body composition and testosterone are biologically connected.

For a dedicated weight loss programme on its own, Voy's scale is hard to beat. If you'd like it managed alongside your TRT, by a team watching how the two affect each other, that's how we do it.

Hair loss

At Voy, hair loss is a standalone category. We offer a full hair loss plan as part of TRT care, because TRT can speed up male pattern baldness in men who are genetically predisposed. Preventing it from day one is a different job from treating it once it's already happening.

DNA testing

This is one of the things that genuinely sets Arc apart, as genetic testing for treatment response isn't standard among UK TRT providers. Men differ in how they metabolise testosterone, how much they convert to oestrogen and which delivery methods suit them. A DNA test means we can shape your protocol from the start rather than adjusting it over months of trial and error.

Monitoring and ongoing care

We both monitor bloods at standard intervals, typically a check 5 to 6 weeks after starting and then every 3 to 6 months. We both check the markers that matter: haematocrit, PSA, oestradiol, and liver and kidney function.

The practical differences are in how that monitoring is delivered and how easily you can reach a doctor between reviews. I'd put these questions to both of us:

• How easy is it to message a doctor with a question?
• How quickly do you hear back?
• Who reviews your bloods, and is it the same clinician each time or whoever's on in the team?
• Is the clinic CQC-regulated, are the doctors GMC-registered and is the pharmacy GPhC-registered?

You won't find the answers on a pricing page, but over years of treatment they make a big difference.

Voy HCG and fertility

Yes, Voy can prescribe HCG alongside TRT for men who want to protect their fertility, and so can we. Approaches vary, so check the details with whichever provider you choose.

If you want children at some point, pick a provider that brings this up with you before treatment starts, not after.

Voy reviews vs Arc TRT reviews

Voy has a large number of public reviews on Trustpilot and elsewhere. As one of the biggest providers in the UK, it has plenty of them and they're easy to find.

Our patient reviews are on Doctify, which checks that each one comes from an actual patient of the clinic. We're smaller, so there are fewer, but every one you see is verified.

Both are legitimate places to read reviews. Read widely, not just the top few, and pay attention to what people say about their care a year or two in.

Who each clinic is probably better for

• Men who'd use several standalone services across different health categories
• Men who care most about a low entry-level monthly price for TRT
• Men who'd rather go with a large, established brand

Arc TRT

• Men who want a TRT-led clinic rather than a multi-service platform
• Men who want weight loss or hair loss treatment managed alongside TRT by the same clinical team
• Men interested in DNA-guided treatment protocols
• Men who'd like a smaller service where they deal with the same people
• Men who want their hormone health at the centre of their care, with everything else built around it

Summing up

Voy is a serious, credible UK TRT provider with strong clinical leadership and competitive prices. If the platform model suits the way you want to be treated, you'll probably be well looked after.

We do things differently. At Arc, testosterone therapy is the core, and weight loss, hair loss and DNA testing are there to help it work better for you. We aren't trying to be a one-stop shop for everything. We want to do TRT, and the treatments that directly support it, as well as anyone in the UK.
