TRT Doctor
Dr. Simba Gwatsha
Dr Masimba Gwatsha is a UK doctor with over 10 years of clinical experience, offering personalised, evidence-led hormone care focused on long-term wellbeing.
A doctor focused on the individual
Dr Masimba Gwatsha (MBBS, BMedSci Hons, GMC 7456121) is a UK doctor registered with the General Medical Council. He has over 10 years of clinical experience and a dedicated interest in testosterone and hormone replacement therapy, general wellbeing and preventative medicine.
At Arc TRT, his focus is personalised care. He wants to understand how each patient feels, what matters to them and how their symptoms affect everyday life. Rather than treating a single blood result in isolation, he looks at the wider picture: medical history, sleep, exercise, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
His aim is for patients to understand their options and feel involved in every decision about their treatment.
Training and clinical experience
Dr Gwatsha holds a medical degree and an honours degree in Biomedical Sciences. His clinical background spans acute medicine, emergency care, haematology and oncology, which gives him a broad perspective when assessing symptoms and the other factors that can affect a patient’s health.
Alongside his consultations, he has helped develop TRT and HRT protocols and clinical guidance. He’s particularly interested in why patients respond differently to the same treatment, and how careful monitoring leads to better-informed prescribing.
He values clear explanations, practical advice and treatment plans that patients can understand and follow.
Exercise, nutrition and long-term health
Dr Gwatsha has a strong interest in athletics, exercise and the link between physical health and wellbeing. He sees hormone health as one part of a bigger picture, alongside regular movement, good nutrition, proper recovery and daily habits you can keep up.
Living with type 1 diabetes has given him a personal understanding of what it takes to manage a long-term condition day after day. That experience shapes his belief in care that is practical, collaborative and fits around life outside the consultation room.
Why individual care matters to him
The symptoms that bring someone to a hormone health consultation rarely stop at the physical. They can affect confidence, relationships, motivation and a person’s sense of themselves.
Dr Gwatsha believes those concerns deserve time and attention. He combines listening carefully to each patient with a close review of their medical history, blood results and response to treatment, rather than assuming one approach will suit everyone.
He puts particular value on continuity: reviewing progress, talking openly about concerns and adapting care when it’s needed.
A considered approach to treatment
His approach starts with understanding each patient’s needs and whether treatment is right for them, not with the assumption that hormone replacement is the answer.
He believes patients should go into treatment with a clear picture of the likely benefits, the limitations and the responsibilities that come with it, including ongoing monitoring and what it means for their longer-term health.
At Arc TRT, his aim is to provide thoughtful, evidence-led care that makes a real difference to how patients feel and function, while keeping their wider health at the centre of every decision.
