TRT UK: from blood test to treatment, all from home
4.8· 45 reviews on(opens Trustpilot in a new tab)“Dealing with Arc has been such a breath of fresh air compared to the other private healthcare companies I've dealt with. There's no pushy sales tactics, no badgering you to do anything, just really friendly, responsive staff and doctors that know their stuff.”
TRT Symptoms
At Arc TRT we treat men whose low testosterone has left them tired, foggy and flat. A doctor sets your dose from your own blood results and symptoms, then adjusts it as you go.
Our free symptom check is based on the ADAM questionnaire, a recognised screening tool for low testosterone. Answer a few questions and see whether your hormones could be behind how you've felt.
Two men with the same result can feel very different.
So we look at how you feel as well as the number.
Every decision about your treatment is made by a GMC-registered doctor.
Start with a blood test and see where you stand.

How it works
It all starts with a blood test, checked by a UK GMC-registered doctor.

Already on TRT?
On testosterone therapy with another clinic? We'll look at your current protocol and keep what's working. Your care then carries on with us, with regular monitoring and dose changes when your bloods call for them.

£75 deposit, credited to your first month
If it's working and it's clinically appropriate, you can stay on it.
After your consultation we set up your prescription and delivery quickly, so you're not left waiting.
The full deposit comes off your first Arc TRT subscription payment.
We're CQC-regulated, we use a GPhC-registered pharmacy and all our doctors are GMC-registered.
Genetic & Epigenetic Testing
Genetic and epigenetic testing from Arc TRT.
Your DNA affects how you respond to testosterone, how you break down medication, your risk of hair loss and how you age. Our genetic and epigenetic tests look at each of these.
You can book it on its own if you just want the detail, or add it to your TRT plan so your doctor can use it when setting your protocol from the start.

FAQs
It's rarely one symptom. Most men who come to us have several things going on: tiredness that doesn't lift, brain fog, a lower sex drive, putting on fat despite training, and less drive in general. If that sounds familiar, we start with a blood test that measures your total and free testosterone along with other key markers, to see whether low testosterone is the cause.
We take safety seriously. TRT helps a lot of men, but adding hormones means you need careful monitoring.
Skin & Fluid: Some men get mild acne or a little water retention while their levels settle.
Full Blood Count: In around 50% of men, testosterone increases red blood cell production. We check your full blood count, including haemoglobin, red blood cells and haematocrit, at every check-up, and adjust your treatment if your levels need bringing back into range.
Oestrogen Management: Oestrogen rises as testosterone rises. Rather than using heavy doses of medication to "crash" it, we use micro-dosing to keep it in a healthy, stable range.
Blood Pressure: Testosterone can raise blood pressure, so we recommend all TRT patients check theirs regularly at home.
Testosterone does suppress sperm production. If you want children now or later on, tell your doctor at your consultation so you can talk it through properly and plan around it.
TRT is a long-term treatment for a long-term deficiency. It's a bit like contact lenses: they work while you wear them.
You're never locked in, though. If you decide to stop, we'll give you a cessation protocol to help your natural production restart as smoothly as possible.
The NHS "normal" range is very wide and doesn't take your age or your symptoms into account. A 30-year-old with the testosterone level of an 80-year-old can technically be in range and still feel awful. We look at how you feel as well as the number on the page.
Yes, where it's clinically appropriate. We don't stock HCG ourselves: if your doctor prescribes it, it's dispensed through our partner pharmacies.
TRT only speeds up hair loss if you're already genetically prone to male pattern baldness. It won't cause it if the genetics aren't there. If you're worried, we can put you on a protocol that puts keeping your hair first.
Irritability and mood swings are actually signs of low or fluctuating testosterone. We use modern, frequent dosing schedules to smooth out the peaks and troughs, which tends to mean a steadier, calmer mood.
Recent clinical data, including the TRAVERSE study, found that properly monitored TRT did not increase cardiovascular risk.
The old "petrol on a fire" idea about TRT and the prostate is outdated. There's no clinical evidence that TRT causes prostate cancer. We still check your PSA (prostate-specific antigen) regularly as part of your monitoring, so it's something we keep a close eye on.
There isn't one method that suits everyone.
Injectable Testosterone: Your doctor will explain your dose and how to inject it, and we provide tutorials so you're confident doing it yourself.
Transdermal Gels and Creams: A needle-free option you apply to the skin.
Oral Tablets: A daily, needle-free option that suits some patients, depending on their needs and clinical profile.
Yes, and you don't need to stop treatment to go away. Testosterone is a controlled drug, so carry it in your hand luggage in its original pharmacy packaging, take no more than three months' supply, and check the rules of the country you're visiting. We can provide a travel letter for your medication: just message the team with your dates and destination before you go. Read our full travel guidance.
HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) mimics luteinising hormone (LH), which helps keep your testes working normally while you're on TRT. It supports your own testosterone production and helps stop the testes shutting down. Everyone responds a little differently, so it isn't guaranteed to work fully, but we use it to help preserve natural function where we can.
HCG is only given as a subcutaneous injection.
